Lion’s Mane Mushroom Grow Kit, Grown By You!
Grow your own Lion’s Mane mushrooms at home with this Lion’s Mane Mushroom Grow Kit. Our lion’s mane mushroom kits produce plump, dense, shaggy mushroom clusters. Lion’s mane is highly versatile and can be enjoyed cooked, dried, extracted, or even steeped as a tea! Due to its consistency and flavor, it can also be used as a seafood substitute in recipes that call for crab meat.

Setting Up Your Kit
Open the front of your kit along the perforated line and slice an ‘X’ into the plastic underneath with a sharp knife or scissors. Fill the sprayer included in your kit with water and spritz the plastic where you sliced your ‘X’ shape.
Caring For Your Kit
Spritz your kit at least twice daily – more if you’re in a particularly dry climate. Place your kit in the most humid part of your home and outside of direct sunlight. We suggest putting it on countertop close to a sink. (If your mushrooms start to grow but abruptly stop, your growing conditions may be too dry and you should make a humidity tent!)
From ‘Pin’ To ‘Flush’
The mushroom mycelium will sense the oxygen in the air and produce mushroom ‘pins’ (another term for baby mushrooms). It usually takes 5-14 days for pins to form. Once pins form, it takes about 5 more days for your first ‘flush’ to be ready for harvest.

Storing Your KitIf you’re not ready to use it right away, your Lion’s Mane Spray & Grow Kit can be refrigerated or stored in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight, for up to 3 months. (Note: It’s not unusual for kits to begin growing in warm, humid climates. So, don’t be alarmed if they start to grow during storage!) |
It’s Not Mold – It’s Mycelium!Your kit includes an amended sawdust block fully colonized with mushroom mycelium. It may appear covered with a soft, white, mold-like substance – that’s the mushroom mycelium! It is completely normal. The mycelium of some species is more prominent than others. |
Cooking Your MushroomsMushrooms are the perfect meat substitute! They can also be eaten alone or as a side dish. We like to pan-fry them in olive oil or butter with a bit of garlic, salt, and pepper. You can also shred, cube, or slice them to use as substitutes for meat in recipes! |

Give Your Mushroom Grow Kit a Second & Third Life – Indoors and Out!
Our kits are reliable producers and tend to yield large flushes of mushrooms. With proper care, you may even be able to get multiple flushes (see kit booklet for details). And when your kit stops growing indoors, you can bury the block in your garden. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
